Understanding Advanced Diagnostics on Genius

NOCO Genius chargers are equipped with advanced diagnostics to help identify and resolve battery problems.

Standby Mode

The charger is in Standby Mode or the battery voltage is too low for the charger to detect. If the battery voltage is too low to detect Force Mode may be needed to start charging. See below to learn more about Force Mode on each Genius Model.

High Voltage

The battery voltage is too high for the selected charge mode. Check the battery and charge mode.

Bad Battery

There is a possible battery short or the battery will not hold a charge. Have the battery checked by a professional.

Reverse Polarity

Charger is connected to the battery in reverse. Reverse the battery connections.

Temperature [Flashing]

The charger ambient temperature either too cold or too high. Charger will resume function once the charger ambient temperature rises/lowers.
