Worry Free

I had a $30 Harbor Freight maintainer on my 2014 Q60 Infiniti convertible with only 16,000 miles, It only gets driven maybe 2 times a year, The new battery discharges over time and the maintainer couldn't keep up, I charged battery to full charge and installed the Gen 1 and so far it has did exactly what I was hoping for.

Yes, I recommend this product.

So far so good. I have had a few chargers that are similar and this is the only one that they built in a relay to physically disconnect the battery from the system. It DOES NOT drain your battery when it is not charging. Gets three thumbs up from me.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Dry Battery

Use the Gen 1 for off season battery maintenance and pleased with the simplicity, features, and quality of your product. Configuration setup with 2 batteries connected parallel. Battery levels topped off at start up of off season maintenance (November - March). End of off season battery levels check revealed dry batteries. Tech support appreciated.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Unreliable

Worked fine while it worked, but at some point, it just failed for no apparent reason. By the time I found something was wrong, my battery was dead flat, and wouldn't take a charge anymore.
Plugging in, you hear a crisp snap at the plug, as it's probably charging a capacitor inside, but it does nothing else. When you unplug it, you can hear some brief internal clicking noises.
Other quality issue I find, is the use of cheap PVC jacketed cables that are extremely stiff in cold weather. Being that these cables are sealed into the charger, if the insulation cracks, there is no way to repair them.

The NOCO "Hassle-Free Warranty" Is A Work Of Fiction.

I purchased the NOCO Genius 1 in late May. The unit worked as expected for about two months. Then, for no apparent reason, it stopped working. The battery connected to it went dead. I went back and forth via email with Chris G, NOCO Customer Support Supervisor, for a week without resolution. I don't know if the NOCO Genius 1 is bad by design or if I simply received a bad one, but I know NOCO Customer Support is terrible. The NOCO "Hassle-Free Warranty" is a work of fiction.

I resolved my situation by purchasing a battery maintainer from another manufacturer.
