How Solar Power Works
Solar panels are comprised of photovoltaic cells ("photo" meaning light, "voltaic" meaning electricity) that convert sunlight into power. The sun gives off enormous amounts of energy in the form of heat and light, which is captured by the cells. In turn, the power from the light essentially loosens electrons from the cells in order to create a flow of energy. This energy is then directed to either a storage unit (such as a battery) or through a regulator (such as our FLEX line) directly to a device. This allows you to generate energy wherever you go, as long as the sun is shining.
