This charger is awesome! Its fast charging and easy to connect. The only flaw is that it doesnt charge completly dead batteries. (Thats cause of the smart computer) i had to jump start my batteries with my car cause i didnt have a cheap charger thats able to. But it was easy to do so not too bad. Before i bought this charger ive been manually pumping my bilge tank for 3 months! Haha. Now my bilge pump is cherry! Thank you Noko for saving me time and efforts! Another tip is if you have 2 batteries in parallel no sence buy the 2 bank charger cause you only need 1 bank charger to charge both (I bought it before doing research).

Good Product

I originally got this unit for my 2 battery bank air compressor on my truck or for the 2 battery bank on the winch in my trailer. I hadn’t got around to installing it, when I left the ignition on overnight in my 2 battery bank diesel truck. The AGM batteries were as depleted as the truck would take them. I didn’t get their intital voltage and I was initially worried that the batteries were too depleted. The charge literature suggested my 75 Ah batteries would take about 4 - 6 hours to recharge from a nominal 50% discharge. I didn’t know, but I wanted to try this unit out. The automotive batteries did not have the small post needed for this unit, but I was able to securely fasten the leads to both batteries using the truck terminal hardware. During the charge I monitored the voltage and I was able to “see” the charger at work. It took about 12 hrs for the green lights to come on, but I was impressed with the unit. The feel and finish was very good. I may upgrade this to 5 stars if the durability and longevity is there, but so far it is a solid 4 star and I am happy with my purchase.

Overcharges AGM Batteries

Can't leave this thing plugged in unattended for more than a week without having to top off the batteries with distilled water. Thought my batteries were to blame, but even new batteries this thing runs too hot. So now put in a Delta-Q charger which also wanted to do the same thing out of the box, but you can adjust the charge profile depending on the model of battery. set it for a Duracell AGM and its perfect. I'll be selling this dumbed down to consumer level charger on eBay shortly.
