Great Car Accessory

The NOCO Genius did exactly what I expected it to do. I plugged one end into a standard outlet, then attached the Chargers to the battery terminals just like you would if you were jump starting a car. The device immediately told me how much power was in my battery and started charging it up. After 2 hours I was fully charged and feeling secure that my battery wouldn't die on me.

This is a great charger.

This is a great charger. I needed to have the ability to charge a 6v battery which is the main reason I purchased this. I have other various 12v chargers that I paid more for, but this on works better in many ways for less money. This has become my go to charger. All the parts are of good quality and seem to be well made. recommend this product to anyone looking for a versatile charger.

This is the best charger that I have ever had

This is the best charger that I have ever had. I have all the confidence in the world in it. I've had to go through probably 50 SLA batteries over the last 3 months and I just hook this thing up and forget about. I check it periodically to see if the battery tested bad and could not be charged or move it on to the next battery.

Best battery charger I've ever purchased.

Really neat design on this product. Their is a feature on it called stand-by where it won't even put a charge into the clamps without being attached to the battery. This gave a more save and secure feeling knowing that the item wasn't even on until it is hooked up. It also seems to know what mode to use to charge what battery. You can manually change these modes however when I hooked it up to my car it immediately went to the mode it needed to charge that battery. Smaller and lighter than any other battery charger o have ever seen and is built very well and works very well. I recommend to anyone who is asked as often as I am if they will jump or help charge someone else's battery haha. Were I to be picky I would say that putting a light somewhere on the charger would take this product even farther.

Innovatively designed auto battery charger

Pros:
(1)Innovative and well-thought design
(2)Good build quality
(3)Light weight and portable size. Easy to store and carry around
(4)The charger can tell the health of your battery with 'Diagnostics' feature
(5)can rescue or repair 'sick/dead' battery which is deeply discharged, sulfated or damaged.
(6)Owner's Manual& User Guide is well-written and very helpful
Cons:
(1)Warranty service is not free, in fact, it is quite expensive. I think most of Genius Charger owners are not very happy about it when warranty service is needed. Hopefully, repair rate is very low.
(2)The price tag of G1100 is almost $45, a bit overpriced, but good battery maintenance and extended battery life compensate the cost.

I got my G1100 for less than a week. I got trouble when I used it to charge my battery the first time, all LEDs illuminated and were blinking once the AC power was plugged into an electrical outlet. Obviously, it was an error warning. I checked all connections and found nothing wrong. I suspected my G1100 is a bad charger. I looked into Troubleshooting in User Guide before calling NOCO Genius for help. Troubleshooting indicates that my 2 year old battery is in very bad condition as a result of sulfation or damage. COSTCO gave me a free replacement because my old battery is still within 3 years warranty. G1100 saved me $75. I installed the new battery, then charged it again. All 5 charging steps went through as smooth as expected and successfully. It took about 5 hours to complete a full charge (from 25% to 100% full charge). I will update my review when needed. So far, everything is going well with my G1100 charger.

Using The Noco G1100 On Yamaha SMAX

It took me about 15 minutes to install the NOCO Genius GC015 12V Eyelet Battery Indicator to the SMAX battery. There is enough room in the battery compartment for the fuse holder.

The battery level indicator on the eyelet adapter is a nice addition.

Battery condition indicator in the charger is also great.

Because I park in a building garage space, there is no power and so I’m using the charger with a Duracell PowerPack Pro for AC. So far so good.

Could Have Been Great

I've owned this charger for a few months now and it has been working properly fior that extent of time, I would be tempted to give it a 5 star rating if it was not for the deliberate omission of the standard (read STANDARD !!! ) SAE quick connect plug. They might be able to claim that their X-connect plug is better that the standard SAE one which would be highly debatable, but in any case they should have included the optional adapter in the package from the get go. Who are they targeting this charger to? first time vehicle owners? I have all my vehicles fitted with SAE quick connect ports for years as I'm sure most users that take care of their vehicles do, even my pressure washer came from factory with a SAE port installed. So now when I decide to plug one of my motorcycles to store for a while I have to go hunting for an adapter (and paying extra for it which I never had to in the past with any other maintenance charger) because this people decided to be "Clever" about it.
I for one will not consider buying another of these or recommending it to anyone until they include the adapter with the charger so they become COMPATIBLE with the rest of the industry... there is a good reason for STANDARDS , you know?...
