Wonderful Idea

My wife uses this for her car while she's at work. We live in MN, so it gets very cold here, and her car stays parked all day. She plugs it in at work and it keeps her battery charged up. We also own a G7500. We love all your products.

Great quality

A fantastic solar charger for maintaining a vehicle battery that you simply don't use often enough The only real downside is that it doesn't quite have everything you need.

I needed to purchase the 12V 2A Flex Regulator separately. Another con is that this system is not supposed to remain plugged into the battery while you use it, so as designed, you'd have to disconnect it every time you go to use your vehicle. I have come up with a solution to this problem. I used a 5-pin relay attached to ignition-switched power, and connected this charger to the normally closed circuit path. This way, while the car is off, the charger is connected, but while the car is on, it's disconnected. I used the normally open circuit to power my subwoofer, saving on wiring and not draining any power on it. It would be nice if there were an addon like this pre-made for the product, as I personally see this as a common problem.
